Honorees

Maude L. Storr

- 2005 Honoree – Arts & Culture

To have received the distinction of being honored as an African-American Achiever will always be remembered as a humbling experience and a challenge to continue my outreach and service to the community.

Since 2005, I have continued documenting and writing historical biographical data about local African Americans who have made a positive impact on the religious, social, civic, business, educational and family life in our local communities. One hundred of these biographies are being finalized for publication later this year. I have also continued to serve on the Executive Board of the Friends of the African-American Research Library and Cultural Center to help support its programs and projects related to presenting, promoting, and preserving African-American history and culture.
