About The Event

The African-American Achievers Awards, now in its 26th year, began with one man’s vision. Jim Moran wanted to celebrate members of the community who made a difference in the lives of others. A meaningful difference driven by passion and a greater purpose. Not to earn a pat on the back or a few moments in the spotlight, but for the reward of positively impacting the world around them. Together, we continue to celebrate the great work being done today. By doing so, we help keep Jim Moran’s legacy shining bright. Since 1992, over 150 individual Achievers have been recognized, and more than $450,000 has been donated on their behalf to nonprofit organizations in celebration of their achievements.

Event Venue

The 2018 celebration will be held on Wednesday, April 25, at 6:30 p.m. at the Broward County Convention Center.
